How a Rouge Anti Virus Software Program Seriously Affected My Business Profits

False anti virus programs are a real hindrance at the moment; I have just been one of the victims of one of these programs that found its way in to my personal computer through an email I believe. Win 7 total security is the identity of this virus but it also has several other names and its main role is to trick you into thinking that your pc is at harm and that the only resolution is to buy the win 7 total security program. Win 7 total security is a very clever and very bothersome program that is designed to cheat you out of your hard earned cash. You will know when you have it installed on your computer because you will be plagued with a mixture of irritating messages that keep popping up telling you that your system is at threat, it then gives you only one choice and that is to pay for their product which is by the way a total fake. The other really frustrating thing about this virus is that it stops your Internet accsess to locate the software to eliminate it, very shrewd!.

Removal of this nuisance comes in a number of forms, the first is to give your lap top to to a PC repair service and let them take out the virus or the second is to find the software to eliminate it your self. I used a program called McAfee and it didn't even make a difference after spending £30.00 so I had to take the PC in for repair another £30.00. The PC repair service removed the virus and every things back to normal, I have installed AVG to protect me fro future attacks.

This worst part of this saga is the fact that two of my sites had been hacked as a result of this virus, the virus is designed to monitor the behaviour of the user and record the details of the places that you visit and also the user names ans passwords, and then send the information to the schemers who put this software on you computer. The two particular sites that I had visited that day where the accounts for two of my jobs web sites one of which was my jobs in Manchester site and the other site that was effected was a jobs in Liverpool Internet site.

I had spent a lot of time and effort promoting both of the sites so they would appear on the first page of Google. The web site that was the worst affected by far was my jobs in Liverpool site as as the hackers had deleted all the associated files that where on the server at the time, the files were backed on the MySQL data base and the site was back on line in an hour or so. The web sites search engine position was affected it fell from position 5 on page one for the terms jobs Liverpool to the fifth page of google, no doubt the site will climb the ranks again but it has had a temporary effect on my AdSense income. To prevent this happening install a decent anti-spy-ware computer program like AVG or Avast the two programs are free downloads and will stop programs like this automatically installing on your computer.
