How to Run Poem

Fred Jones
First you must believe in yourself.

No remarks of unfaithfulness.

Any sign of doubt, or fear

Can stop you from taking that step.

Once you've found, you have no excuses.

Then you're ready for that first step.

One foot in front of the other.

It's no harder than that.

Your breathing, so harsh, so painful.

No need to kill yourself, slow down.

The endurance will come with time.

You don't have to run hard all the time.

Look forward, not at your feet,

Don't let your arms cross your body.

You're wasting valuable energy.

Efficiency is the key.

The bitter sweet success, of finishing a run.

Is unmatched by most other.
