How to Safely Use Your Cell Phone While Driving

Laws are being passed all over the country to stop people from using their cell phone in their car while driving. According to a Harvard University study, cell phones cause over 200 deaths and half a million injuries each year. Now you can see why it's illegalto drive and talk on your cell phone.

Using your speaker phone or a wire headset is still not safe because you still have to dial the number. And a wire headset can become tangled up while you are driving. Below are steps you need to take to ensure a safe way of answering, talking, and making calls are your phone.

Things you'll need:
Voice recognition cell phone and Bluetooth capable
Bluetooth headset

Step1:
Make sure you have a cell phone that can be dialed with voice commands.

Step2:
Your cell phone needs to be Bluetooth compatible. Most cell phones today recognize Bluetooth devices. Check with your user manual.

Step3:
Purchase a Bluetooth headset for your cell phone. You can get some good deals if you shop on line. Ordering it from your cell phone provider will be expensive.

Step4:
Turn on your Bluetooth headset and have your cell phone search for Bluetooth devices. Refer to your owner's manual if you don't know how to do this. After doing it a few times it's quite easy.

Step5:
Optimize your cell phone to your voice. This will ensure fewer errors when saying a command and name.

Step6:
Make sure that everyone you call is in your phone's address book. That's it you are now all set for safe driving!
