The 4th of July is almost here, it's time for fireworks again. When using fireworks, it's very important that you do this in a safe and efficient manner. In this article, I will give you some steps on how to use fireworks so that you and everyone around you will be safe. Fireworks should be only used by an adult and if a child should use fireworks make sure an adult is around at all times.

As the day comes closer many people will start selling fireworks. Stores that sell fireworks are retail outlets that specialize in fireworks only, some normal retailers but they sell only small basic fireworks, and many different booths. There are many laws now in different counties about what kind of fireworks you can and cannot buy. So, when stopping at these outlets and especially the booths, it's important to if they have any information on which fireworks you can use in your area. Also, check to make sure they have a licensee and it's a legit booth and not a scam. Some places like these sell illegal fireworks which are dangerous and against the law.

The first thing when you purchase your fireworks is too store them in a cool place where no heat can enter. This will help in keeping you, your family and house safe from the fireworks igniting and causing very bad harm. Sometimes we forget they have a fuse and can be easily lit please consider all worst case scenarios and keep them in a safe and cool environment. Also, make sure that they are not only kept cool, but in a safe place from children who may try and light them which could cause very bad injury.

Now if you're ready to use your fireworks I have some very helpful tips for you, and please do so with caution. Now your children may want too light fireworks too which is not a good idea, except if its sparklers. Sparklers have a long stick which the little kids can hold and the sparks are far on the other end. A sparkler only ignites little sparks of fire and cannot harm you unless someone sticks you with it. The kids can put 2 sparklers together and it will ignite the other so they do not have to use matches or a lighter. Make sure an adult lights one sparkler first though and then the kids can use that one to light their own. So if the kids want to fireworks, sparklers will be the best idea.

It is a good idea to have one main person too be the lighter and handle the fireworks, it may be a bad idea to light multiple fireworks at a time be very cautious. Before you light please read all instructions, keep a bucket of water nearby, and a first aid kit, it's better to be safe than sorry. Make sure you light the fireworks a distance from your vehicles and house the best idea is in the street, they let out many sparks and flames which could damage your things as well as you. Keep everyone away from the fireworks also, your family and friends especially little children should be a good distance away. If you go to a park or somewhere without a phone bring your cell phone in case of emergency.

The next tip is when your firework has finished its job, how you should proceed. Please avoid going to touch it right away make sure the flame is gone and its completely over, if you're not sure run water over it. If you light a firework and it does not light use extreme caution when you proceed to check it, if you see the fuse you may re-light it or just dispose of it. Do not try to find the problem because it may still be hot and explode which could result in fatal injuries.

It's very important to extreme caution in purchasing and using fireworks. If the wrong kinds are purchased you could be in big trouble with the law and endanger you and your family. If they are not used correctly you can harm yourself and others. So please read over these tips in this article for a safe and happy 4th of July.
