Firefox is my favorite browser, because you can customize what it looks like as well as ad loads of extra safety measures, like no-script. Finding your themes all over again after a format can be a real pain, and rather time consuming. I don't like having to download a program like CLEO in order to save backups and replace them. Saving, and backing up Firefox themes, and add-ons isn't as hard as you may think, in fact it's rather simple.
To save, and backup Firefox themes, bookmarks, and add-ons, we will need Windows Explorer. So, go to the start button, then go to programs, then accessories, then click on Windows Explorer.
A window will pop up that has a left side and a right side. The left side of the screen has + and folders. This is the side we are going to be working on for a few minutes.
Click the + by the My Computer, then click the + by the Local Disk (C:) Click the + by Documents and Settings. You need to select your username and click the + by that folder. Click the + by Application Data, then the + by Mozilla, the + by Firefox. You will see a folder called Profiles. Click on the Profiles folder, to the right you will see a series of numbers, and letters followed by a .default. That folder in the right hand window is the folder you will want to save. That .default folder contains everything you will ever need, add-ons, themes, bookmarks and more. It's really that simple, and that quick to backup something so very important.
Once you have saved that folder, replacing it on a new format, or another PC is just as simple. You should have Firefox already installed to replace your bookmarks, themes, and add-ons with this method.

Those numbers, and letters will not be the same as the backup you created and that's really not an issue to be concerned with. The backup will still work.
Take the folder you saved of your backup of your Firefox themes, bookmarks, and add-ons, and click on it, you will see loads of files and even folders. Click in the folder, and press Control A (this selects all), now you can either drag, and drop the files into the folder in your Profiles folder the one that ends with ".default" or you can press Control V (paste), and yes click replace all.
Now open up Firefox, go to bookmarks to see all your bookmarks back in place, then head over to tools and click on add-ons, and click find updates. This will now update anything that needs updating, and you can click on the Firefox theme you want to use and implement it there.
Click on extensions, and implement any add-ons you need.
