In such an atmosphere, you can talk freely about many subject that are mentally stimulating such as the current news or similar events of the past which helps your memory. Go places to public meetings and speak your mind. This will enable you to meet new people, and use your social skills often. You will learn more, and speak more to stabilize your short term memory as well as your long term memory skills.

Stress can affect your memory when the adrenaline pushes the stress too far for a long time. To prevent this, find something to be happy about daily.

Having a regular schedule will help you remember things better, and will keep you busy. You mind needs something to think about and remember to keep it going strong. It is important to be organized having a particular place to put everything you own. Using a categorical and alphabetical system is a good way to help you remember. For instance, you need to pay a bill, so have a special mail holder or drawer to keep it. Be sure to label the drawer, so you won't forget where it is. Get a large calendar to make notes on and mark each time a bill is to be paid along with appointments you may have. If you want to make your grandmother's famous Pumpkin Soup recipe and need Ginger you will be able to find it in the spice section of your kitchen cabinet in ABC order. This can not only help you, but anyone who asks you about it. To keep your wits about you learn, play, create , keep healthy, socialize and be organized to improve your memory for years to come.
