A person can choose from any number of bulk coffee programs. You save money if you subscribe to a monthly plan where a specified amount of coffee is shipped to you every month. Each company sets a minimum amount that you need to order, so read the contract before joining. A majority of house blend coffees for sale are grown in the U.S.A. It's a good idea to test various coffees for quality by buying just a little at first. For me, I prefer buying coffee in small portions and I only buy the best of the best. But if you're ordering for you business-whether it's a coffeehouse, diner, or restaurant-you'll need a lot of coffee.
Like we already discussed, if you own a restaurant or large office space then you're probably buying in bulk. If you plan to brew large quantities of coffee daily, then you should find a commercial grade coffee machine. The types of coffee makers you'll find in the average home are slow, inefficient, and don't heat the water enough for maximum flavor. That's why Starbucks coffee is just plain better than the coffee you make at home-the machine is different. The higher the temperature of the water, the better the flavor. I'll bet you didn't know that interesting fact!
One important thing to know is that if you only need a little coffee at a time, don't be tempted to buy bulk coffee and stock up on huge bags of beans. Of course buying a 25-lb bag is cheaper than buying 5 five-pound bags, but it's not worth it if it will take you a whole year to use it up. Once you reach the bottom of the bag you will hardly have any flavor left, because flavor (as well as aroma) dissipates over time. Only buy enough coffee to last you for a month at a time, as a general rule.
