How to Save Money in Kansas City, Missouri

When you least expect it, and when you can least afford it, something around the house always seems to break or wear down. These break downs can add up to a lot of money. Whether it's out-of-warranty appliances, or just worn out old drapes, it's always nice to save a dollar if you can. Here are a few of my ideas on how to save money in and around Kansas City, MO.

FC Grace is a great place to buy furniture at incredible prices. The furniture store is located in a tiny town with a population of less than 300. They sell bedding sets, refrigerators, washers and dryers, stoves, freezers, rugs, dining sets, and much more. They also sell carpet and linoleum. The furniture is name brand, such as Lane and La-Z-boy. The appliances they sell are Whirlpool, Frigidaire, and Amana to name a few. FC Grace sells all of this at unbeatable prices. The prices are so great in fact, that people come from all over the state and even out of state to shop there. The only downfall to this furniture store is that they do not offer additional warranties on the products they sell. The only warranty you will get is the one that comes with the item you purchased. In order to keep the prices low, they cannot offer extra warranties. They do not offer delivery either.

The thing that makes Sears in Cameron special is that it locally owned by very nice, caring people. They will do everything it takes to make sure you are completely satisfied. The thing that some people may not realize, is that Sears will match and beat a competitors price on appliances and electronics by 10%. For example, if you find a Sony 52" Television at Wal-Mart for $1000, Sears will sell you the exact same TV for only $900. The people at Cameron are so nice, that even if it's not an exact match, they will probably work with you to ensure that you are happy. The Cameron Sears is also really good to give additional discounts if you are buying multiple items through them. They do offer regular store warranties plus extra warranties for a certain price.

If you haven't figured it out yet, Target is a great place to shop for great bargains. The selection and prices will surprise you. They offer good quality items, that look like designer items, at unbeatable prices. While every section of the store usually has some clearance, the back of the store is where you need to go to find all the good stuff. The toys, bedding, furniture, bath, and other home accessories are located back there. This area is usually full of red stickered (clearanced) products as much as 75% off their original prices. Target seems to change their inventory often, so check back in with them regularly to see what new goodies you can find.

If you are in need of a little relaxation but don't want to spend a lot of money, try Riviera. They offer discount full body massages throughout the year. You can usually buy a 60 minutes session, either regular or Swedish massage, for $25. Check in around holidays for the best deals. They also offer tanning packages at great prices. There are many beds in this clean, well-maintained salon. They do their best to make sure you get the right products for your needs. The tanning area is upstairs while the beauty area is downstairs. You will need to park around back for the beauty area.
