If I would have had to pay full price each time I picked one up or have one delivered to my house, I would have never been able to get all those magazines I wanted and needed.
Yes, for me this is a need for research and learning. With that in mind and a tight budget you learn a few tricks to get around large costs. No matter if you are writer like me or just a lover of the quick and simple printed word, the fan of rags and tags so to speak, you too have better places to spend your hard earned cash then on full price magazines.
Buy magazines on Ebay.
Those won't be the newest edition, but if you are looking for a certain series this works well. Ebay has just about everything you could wish for. More often then not you can purchase large bulk magazines for under $40.00. I actually got a deal ones that gave me 25 Red Book, Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping and Bon Appetite for $25.00. That was a steal and included Shipping and Handling. Like wise, if you have a large stack of already read magazines at home and want to trade in a few newer ones for those, why not sell them on Ebay. If you don't know how you can learn this very quickly. Click here for a great Free eBay Auction Success Kit , well almost free you will have to pay $4.95 for S&H, but it is well worth it.
Buy magazines on Bidz.com
This is the little less known Company which works like Ebay. If you click on the link and have never been there before, I have enclosed a 10% off coupon I found. Pretty cool! The same goes there as well. If you have stuff you want to sell, you can try them out too. I have sold on both places and bought in the past. Both companies are legit and super easy to work with.
Buy magazines at Garage Sales.
That happens a little less often for me, but from time to time I find Garage Sales that have great stacks of old magazines I am interested in. Usually you can get them anywhere from 10 cents on up. Just remember, those won't be the newer editions either and most of the time the condition may not be that great.
Buy them at the local library Store.
Here I get a lot of Magazines. Usually Better Homes and Garden, Good Housekeeping, Animals or Times Magazine are those found most often on the stands. The price I pay at our Library is 25 cents a magazine and most of them are about 3 month old.
By them online via trial offers.
This is my second most used option. I search for trials that allow me to get at least one or two issues free first, this way I can tell if this is one I will like to read and maybe submit Articles too later. I have received quiet a few new Magazines that I have never heard of before like: Interview, The Magazine Antiques, Sex & Yoga. But good Magazines that most of us love are available as well. Here are a few trials I have tried and received, the link is set up to you can get the same deal. I have set the annual price behind the title to you can find it easily and if you get any free issues. Get a FREE issue of Cooking Pleasures magazine and a FREE Multi-Purpose Grater. (This is no trick you will really receive the product, I did and the annual fee afterwards is $10.00, plus you get to test out kitchen products.). FREE SPORTS ILLUSTRATED MAGS (They really give you a full Year of Sports Illustrated for free, but you have to jump through some hoops to get it. It is worth it for a whole year.) and here is another one with the same concept like Sports Illustrated. Some hoops and a bit of a pain, but worth it for this high prized magazine. Get a free subscription to Parents Magazine! Again this is for a full Year.
Either way you get the point. If you read carefully you will find which ones are legit and which aren't. Even if you have a S&H Cost or a few trials to sign up for to get the whole year for free, take the cost of the merchandise in calculation against the output.
For example it may cost you around $35.00 to fill the requirements of this Deal:Take our survey & Get 3 Magazine Subscriptions on us! - in this case they are talking about a full year of Cosmopolitan, Allure and Glamour. The entire Price even with usual discounts is still somewhere around $70.00 - $100.00 and that is with discounted home delivery. So is it worth it in the end, that is up to you. However, when you go for those type of discounted deals, always make certain that you read all the fine print, keep notes of when you joined up for a free trial so you can cancel it when before the time is up. It takes a little effort on our part, but it is quiet the money saver.
