Of course, new cars aren't cheap either. Even if you opt for one of the economical varieties, there's still the thought of a possible $20,000 (plus) loan from the bank. How can anyone afford a new car, especially if on a limited budget? Well, it is possible to save up to $10,000 off the top of a brand new vehicle. Who wouldn't want to save that much? Why pay $30,000 when you can pay a mere $20,000 and still have a spanking, brand new vehicle, never driven by anyone else but you? With the money that you just saved, you can use it to purchase gas for the next while, to get you around town.
When purchasing a new car, here's something you might want to consider, and it's as simple as checking out your nearest new car dealership. There is a very good chance that they have a few of last year's models still on the lot. You might have to ask the dealer about them, as only the new models will get the showroom/front lot spots. The year old vehicles will probably be tucked away in the back, somewhere out of sight. Of course, the dealers would still like to sell them, but, they can no longer sell them AS new, even though they have never been purchased or leased. They might only have 10 or so miles on the odometer from the occasional test drive. But being they can no longer be sold as new, the sticker prices has now been slashed by thousands of dollars. As well, even as last year's model, you do still have the advantage of a warranty.
Okay, so you can't tell your friends that you just purchased this year's model, but it's still a new vehicle. Cars don't really change that much in appearance from one year to the next, so if that doesn't matter to you (having last year's model), you can still get a great bargain, saving a lot of money and be driving something that is brand new. In this day and age, it's always nice to save those few extra dollars here and there.
The only disadvantage to this is that you may not get the extra options you might have been hoping for, nor the exact color. However, if you had just been thinking to purchase a very basic vehicle, with fewer bells and whistles, this is one option that you might want to look into. After all, how can a person pass up the chance to save a few thousand dollars, as well as getting rid of a headache, money eating junker in the process? With a little luck, you might even get to use that old car as part of your trade in, saving you even a little bit more money!
