How to Save Money with UPromise

Maggie OLeary
If you are looking to save money for college, UPromise.com is one of the internet's best gifts to college students and their parents. When UPromise began several years ago, around 2001, the purpose was to help parents and students save for college. They've since broadened their horizons, and allow you to save for college, a car, a new house, whatever you want. You simply set up a free UPromise account, and watch the savings roll in.

There are many ways to earn money with UPromise. The first, and most obvious is online shopping. When you would like to make a purchase, log in to your UPromise account, and then navigate to the website you wish to shop at through the UPromise portal. You can earn anywhere from 1% to 15% cash back on each purchase you make. UPromise is partners with hundreds of online retail websites, such as JCPenney, eBay, Best Buy, Drugstore.com and others. I earned almost $100 through UPromise just by doing my Christmas shopping online.

UPromise will also give you a personalized shopping link that you can give to your friends and family. When your friends use your link to shop online, you will earn cash back on their purchases.

Next, you may want to consider registering your credit and debit cards with UPromise. Each month, you'll earn cash back on all the purchases you've made with your registered cards. This adds up quickly.

You can also print coupons from UPromise for products you buy every day, such as groceries and personal care items. When you redeem the coupons at your local grocery, drug or department store, you earn cash back that is deposited directly to your UPromise account.

You can also earn cash back when you use UPromise's Financial services to find Insurance, credit cards, mortgages or lines of credit, an auto loan, tax preparing services, or a check of your credit report.

In addition, when you rent a car, book a flight, vacation or cruise, or reserve a hotel room through one of UPromise's partners, you will receive cash back.

Also, there is no minimum payout for UPromise earnings. When you request a payment, UPromise will send it out on a quarterly basis, regardless of how much you have earned in your account.

As you can see, even if you are not saving for college, UPromise is a great way to earn cash back and stretch your budget. Enjoy your savings!

This sounds interesting. I don't think I do enough shopping to earn much though.
