Start saving money on your water bill this very month. Check your pipes under your sinks and behind your washer.
-
Replace the connectors as needed, making sure to use the pipe tape.
-
Pay attention to your faucets. Do they leak when you turn them on, replace them. Not only will you save money, but you will save your counter top from being replaced later on.
-
Check your water pipes under your home, if possible. A small leak may seem like nothing to you, but it amounts quicker than you may think.
-
When washing clothes, don't run your washer for a small load. Make sure it's a normal load as to not waste water.
-
When washing dishes, turn off the water. What I mean by that is this, run your sink full to wash the dishes in, instead of rinsing each one as you wash it, wait and wash a bunch together. You won't use as much water in the long run.
- Shower more. Taking those nice hot baths are nice, but can use almost double the water you use than when you shower. That doesn't mean you can never take a bath again, try only doing it once a week.
