Obtain an English to Farsi dictionary if you're just interested in saying "I love you." These can be found online or in bookstores. The first thing you will notice about Farsi, is that it is not based on the Western alphabet. This makes it difficult to learn the language because English speakers must learn it phonetically if they just want to translate phrases. Phonetic Farsi is different from traditional farsi because it is written out in Western alphabet to make the sounds and accents of the traditional characters of Farsi.

Step 2

Use your computer to locate a translation software to help you translate "I love you," to farsi. Most translators will translate it directly into the Farsi alphabet. Copy the Farsi translation by highlighting it, right-clicking and selecting "copy" from the options.

Step 3

Paste the Farsi translation into a document to refer to while researching the accents of traditional Farsi. Referring to searches for phonetic translations can help you determine how to read and say "I love you," in Farsi.

Step 4

Type out the phonetic translation beneath the traditional Farsi translation. This will help you study how it is written and how to say it as well. The phonetic translation of "I love you," in Farsi is aash-egh-ett-amm, which is the formal way, or dooset daaram which is the casual way. Practice saying these phrases repeatedly. If necessary tune into an audio clip of a Farsi person saying the phrase.
