How to Score an iPhone for Just $300!

AM
Most people see the iPhone's $500 price tag (for the minimum model!) and are immediately turned off by the prospect of ever forking up that much cash for a cell phone. Those who are not current AT&T subscribers, however, who are willing to switch services just for the iPhone, are in luck; there is a way to beat the system and get an iPhone for just $300.

The theory behind this method lies with two very important facts.

1.) Just because the iPhone comes with no available rebates does not mean that the same is true for other phones.

2.) Amazon.com has a unique offer that PAYS customers to switch cell phone providers.

With these two facts in hand, getting the iPhone for $300 is simple.

Go to your Amazon.com and purchase the Sony Ericsson W810 for $0.01 and switch your provider to AT&T. The phone and offer is available here: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Ericsson-W810i-Phone-AT/dp/B000J2FOF0/ref=sr_1_1/102-4337455-7171300?ie=UTF8&s=wireless&qid=1182923191&sr=8-1

By purchasing the cell phone for $0.01, you are essentially being paid $174.99, as the cell phone normally costs $175.

Now go to the store and purchase an iPhone. You will be renewing your contract, but seeing as it will likely be 1 or 2 days old, this is not really a huge deal.

At this point, you have your iPhone and your Sony W810. Now you have the option to either hang on to the W810 as a very, very decent backup to your iPhone, or you can sell it on eBay, probably for somewhere in the area of $25.

Now let's do some math.

Amazon paid you $174.99 to purchase the W810. Let's say you sell this phone for $25, too. Apple has charged you $500 for your shiny new iPhone.

- $500, Apple iPhone
+ $175, Amazon purchase
+ $25, eBay sale

NET: -$300, not a bad price at all for a new iPhone!

wow that was way off point nonono, i am glad you would only take $10 off of a phone that you can soundly take $200 off of, just goes to show how american you truly are. Congrats.

For the rest of us, SMART americans, who didn't vote George Bush as president and smartest man in the world.

It is a very good deal. In fact I wish I had stuck with tmobile a little while longer so I could get the good deals that amazon has for switching carriers.

Okay, with that logic though I could go buy anything for real cheap and resell it and then buy an Iphone around the same time and say I got the Iphone cheaper, when I did not. Ex: Win a X360 video game from Club.live for free, then go buy an Iphone, then resell the video game on e-bay, that's right 10 bucks off the Iphone folks!
