How to Make Seared Scallops

Making scallops at home can be easy if you follow some basic recipe rules.

Ingredients

Serves 2
2 TBS Olive Oil
To Taste Salt and Pepper
4 TBS Butter or Butter Substitute
1 pound Sea Scallops
1/2 lemon Lemon Juice
4 ounces Herbs (i.e. parsley)

Directions for How to Make Seared Scallops

Heat Pan
Heat a large pan on medium-high heat and add the olive oil.

Season Scallops
Sprinkle salt and pepper on the scallops. Add scallops to the heated pan.

Sear Scallops
Sear scallops on one side for four minutes.

Turn the Scallops
Flip each scallop over before adding the lemon juice and herbs, and fry for another three minutes.

Add Butter
Remove the pan from heat and add butter. Stir the butter around the scallops slowly.

Serve scallops over a mixed salad, rice or pasta, and enjoy!
Tip
Use wild caught sea scallops.
