How to See Free Shows in Vegas

Greg Seltz
Though I have lived in Las Vegas for nearly 3 years now, I failed to see as many shows in the first 2 as I have in the last. Why? Blue Man Group - Free (one of the Blue Men lived next door to me). Love Love Love - Free (friend was an acrobat). Lion King - Paid $310. However, only recently have I stumbled across websites that offer free tickets. These shows have included seeing the Gin Blossoms, Hoobastank, Lance Burton, Rock On Tops Off, and much, much more. What is the secret you ask?

www.spyonvegas.com

SpyonVegas is a website that promotes most of the events in the Las Vegas area. These events include grand openings, fashion shows, and other music/beer promotions. Notice that the upcoming events are held at various nightclubs on/off the strip. Some of the nightclubs do not mention "free admission;" however, ladies not traveling with men will not have any problem gaining access. Good luck gents if it is a weekend event, otherwise you may not have to wait long depending on the popularity of the promotion. Many of the poolside events offer a live band and free beer (depending on the sponsor). Of course, the free bar line is usually quite long so keep this in mind while attending. Near future promotions include Los Lonely Boys and Collective Soul. Simply sign up via the website (completely free) and print out a ticket. For tourists, this is a great opportunity to experience nightlife in Vegas for free; not to mention all the young partiers you may meet.

Nevada Residents Only

Another great site I have recently utilized is Show Tickets 4 Locals. I simply signed up for the site and now receive nearly 10-15 emails a day offer free comps/tickets. The goal behind this is for the house to provide a full house for entertainers, etc. Obviously, these shows do not include the hottest new venues in Vegas; but instead focus more on aging shows that need an audience on weeknights when the house is not full. But no worry, I have seen some great shows. Unfortunately, after calling to reserve the tickets, you must be able to present a Nevada ID at the box office before picking up the tickets. Know someone in Vegas? Ask them to reserve a few tickets for you if they do not mind heading to the box office to get them..

I'm doing some quick return comments today. I've really got to catch up with my writing, but I had to make sure to get a webpage done, too! Then, I've got a lot of things happening for which I'll need money! I'll have to get my butt in gear and write, write, write, write. However, please, also do me a favor and visit www.everlastinglight.tk
