I am much older now and I find myself still circling those items in my Avon wish book. Not long ago I had the opportunity to become an Avon Represtative, I would have taken on the job responsibility except I had enough on my plate at the time. I did however, take the time to learn about how the business works and I can honestly say that you should thank your Avon representative the next time that you see her, for all of the hard work that she has done to keep happy customers like you.
My sister decided to become an Avon representative to help pay off her bills and to get some extra income. What she found was that this was the perfect work at home opportunity for her to do. It required a lot of paper work but in the end, she said that it was well worth it.
In order for you to become an Avon represative you must first pay a small fee to join. The fee is usually only $10 and you get a lot of material to help you out. The $10 fee is to help pay for all of the material that you will recieve once you sign up with them. The sign up process will usually take anywhere from one to two hours for them to go over all of the paper work and to explain what they do and what your goals should be.
Avon will also set you up with a credit limit. The credit limit will allow your customers to purchase items on credit and pay you when they arrive and you deliver them. If the customer does not pay you then you can always return the item at no cost to you, or you can simply try to resale the item.
The way you make money is, when a customer orders a product and they pay you the book price whatever is left over after you pay your Avon bill, is yours to keep.
How much money you make depends on the amount that you sell. Avon has different selling levels for you and the more you sell, the higher the money commision will be for you. Avon also has a lot of different promotions for you to take part in and also Avon parties that you will get invintations to.
Avon is such a great company to work for and you can build a great relationship with the people around you by selling Avon products. Avon is so great that they practically sell themselves. The prices for the products are cheap and yet valuable and they even have a line of clothing products.
If you are interested in selling Avon then you should contact your nearest Avon representative for more details on how to sign up.

Hello everyone,
I'm Independent Sales Rep. and I have been fortunate enough to have stuck in here through thick and thin. I'm currently celebrateing 23yrs with Avon Products. I love being there
when my customers need thier favorite products for everyday use and for that special occasion.
I tell all my customers and potential Reps that being an Avon Rep is not as easy as it looks.
It's a multitasking/ juggleing act. And if you are not good at this or not willing to do this then it's not for you. When I started selling Avon in 1987,I was just coming off US Army Active duty and serving on Army Reserve Status was selling Blair Products. I sold both products for about a year, then decided that Avon was more well known and it basically sells it self. Anyway to make a long story short, over 16 years of working 4 PT jobs, Single parent of two children,(21yr old and 17 yr old now) taking college classes(still working on an Online degree in SB manage

I have been selling avon for over a year and its true.If your very talkative and social avon could work.If you put allot of time and effort and don't buy too much yourself, you will see a profit. Now,things have slowed down abit. How do I increase my customer base for the New Year?Any suggestions?
Be careful everyone selling avon you get charged on your bill 5.oo here and there and if you ever have a return you pay out of your own pocket which the company should have to pay. Thats why ppl dont want to sell avon cause the company does not want to take care o there reps...BE CAREFUL AVON REPS>>>>
WOW you all just spamed up this wonderful informative site by putting all your avon crap every where!Totaly unescessary... now I see why people don't want to be avon reps.. just a bunch of hungry lions!
I've always considered selling Avon because of my love for skin care, make-up and fragrance. Also because I love Avon. I think they sell decent products for the price and it brings back very fond childhood memories of receiving the Avon lady and enjoying goodies my Mother would order for herself and sometimes me. However, after doing some research, I have read both positive and negative comments. Most of the negatives seem more realistic. More example, having to pay for the brochures, does not seem right. The samples should be at least half off. There should be no late fee charges or other hidden charges. Those things would seem to be only sabotages to a good sales profit. Also what Erikka says about AVON providing a 24/7 web access is just down right unfair and awful. Why even encourage reps to work so hard trying to build customer relations and sell their butts off? Why would I, want to contact a rep, in this day and age when I can go to the site. I wouldn't. It doesn't make sense.
I think that AVON does the reps a huge disservice by providing 24/7 web access for their customers........
After all, why buy AVON from me, when you can go to their website at anytime, and have it shipped to your house for free??
I suppose if someone wanted a cologne or cosmetic sample they could come to me...........
I have spent hundreds on brochures, samples and gave little baggies of both to all the neighbors on separate occasions and only got ONE customer for my trouble!
Someone told me that if I had a part time job, (or full-time) I could better sell to co-workers, etc.......
If I had a part or full-time job, I wouldn't be selling AVON..........DUH!
Hi! I just joined AVON, and it's not true at all about the market being saturated. The population in Namibia is not that large, but people know different people. People influence others differently. I've sold quite a bit and made quite a bit in profits as well. I managed to afford myself a whole make-over in skin-care, make-up and accessories. Business differs from person to person. It's about how influential, and driven you are as an individual. I believe anyone can turn copper into gold, if your heart is in the right place.
