How to Send Pictures to a Palm Lifedrive from a Camera Phone

Annie Jean Brewer
Palm Lifedrives have the capability to send and receive files via Bluetooth. You can take pictures on your Bluetooth-enabled phone then transfer them to your Palm Lifedrive for storage on the 4 GB hard drive that the Palm Lifedrive contains, enabling you to free up valuable space on your phone. This will also enable you to view the pictures on the larger screen of the Palm Lifedrive to better show them off to others.

Things Needed:
Palm Lifedrive
Bluetooth-enabled camera phone
Photograph to transfer

Steps:

1. Tap the Bluetooth icon on the status bar at the bottom of the Palm Lifedrive screen using the stylus. Bluetooth preferences will appear.
2. Tap the button to turn Bluetooth on.
3. Tap the button to bring up the Preferences menu.
4. Note the device name of the Palm Lifedrive.
5. Tap the drop-down menu on the lifedrive to make it discoverable by other devices.
6. Tap with the stylus to exit the Preferences menu.
7. Select the Picture you wish to transfer to the Palm Lifedrive.
8. Instruct the phone to send the picture to the Palm Lifedrive via Bluetooth. A message will appear on the Palm Lifedrive indicating the photo transfer.
9. Tap on the Palm Lifedrive to accept the photo into the "Photos and Videos" folder on your Palm Lifedrive. The picture will be saved and immediately be displayed on the screen.

Tips:
1. Each phone has different methods for transferring files via Bluetooth. Refer to the manual for specific instructions.
2. Turning off Bluetooth after file transfers will conserve battery life on your Palm Lifedrive.
3. You can also store photographs on an optional SD expansion card if installed in your Palm Lifedrive.
4. This method can also be used to transfer music and other types of files to your Palm Lifefrive.
