Step1:
Getting your digital pictures transferred to your camera has never been easier. First you want to download your free photo sharing software. There are many out there but the two I recommend is Kodak Easy Share or Google's Picasa. Both programs are very similar but you may prefer one over the other.
Step2:
To download Kodak Easy Share software visit: http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/software/easyshare/en/dln_ekn026079.jhtml?pq-path=4509 This link will take you right to the Kodak Easy Share download page.
Step3:
To download Google Picasa visit: http://picasa.google.com/
Step4:
After installing your software, take the time out to register for a free on-line account. Next enter the account information into your software. By doing this you can upload your photo's to either site with just one click of the mouse.
Step5:
Attach your USB cable to your camera and connect the other end to your computer. If you have a memory card reader on your PC you can also remove the memory card from camera and insert it to the card reader.
Step6:
If you use Kodak Easy Share software, the software will recognize your camera (most cameras will automatically be recognized) and a pop up window called "Sync and Transfer Assistant" will pop up. Just follow the instructions on the screen. You will have a choice to save hem to a current folder on your PC or create a new folder.
Step7:
If you use Picasa, you will need to go to File, Import From. On the next screen you will see your camera and all your pictures. From this screen you can import all you pictures or just a selection and choose or create a folder to download them to.
Step8:
Next step is to upload your photo albums to Kodak Easy Share site or Google Picasa site. This is done right from the software and the process is automated for you.
Step9:
To share photos with friends and family all you have to do is send them the photo link from your hosting service. You have the option of adding your contacts to an address book or you can just send the website link to everyone from your own email client.
