How to Shop on Black Friday Like a Pro

3 Simple Steps to Getting All the Sale Items You Want

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and we all know what that means. After the turkey, and stuffing, millions of Americans sit down to read the sale ads in their local paper. As we all know, Black Friday is the busiest shopping day of the year. But how is anyone able to grab all of the door buster deals they want, before the sale ends, or they are all sold out. It's not hard, all you have to do is think like a pro. Your can get some great deals, but only if your willing to push and shove in order to get what you want. For the last few years I have manage to get everything I wanted in the sale ads, and still make it home before noon. If you follow these simple steps, your going to be shopping this Black Friday like a pro, and have less stress then ever before.

Step #1
When everything is said and done on Thanksgiving day, and you have some free time, grab the sale ads. You want to look through all the ads first, just to see what deals the stores are offering. As you find items you want. write them down on a piece of paper along with the store name, what time the sale ends, and price. After you have finished. flip through the ads one more time to make sure you haven't missed anything. Once you are certain that everything you want is written down, look over your list to see which store has the most important merchandise that you want, or as some call it the unbeatable deal. Now, you are going to mark that store number 1, even if you only have one item listed for that store. This is going to be the first place you stop on Friday morning. Next your going to map around that store, so your second stop will be the store closest to your first stop, and so on.

Step #2
Most stores open very early on Black Friday, so you will need to be an early bird for a day. The night before make sure you go to bed, at a time that right for you, in order for you to function at 4 am. You want to get up at least an hour before you leave, so that your awake, and alert. Be sure to layer the clothes you are going to wear. Even if it is freezing outside, it gets very warm in crowed stores. You will also want to pack what I call a "Survival bag". Pack stuff that you'll need like, a few bottles of water, a candy bar, and the sale ads at the stores you plan on shopping at. After grabbing a bit to eat, your ready to head out into the chaos.

Step #3
As you arrive at the store you more then likely noticed that the crowds aren't as bad as you thought they'd be. That's because most shoppers call leaving home at 9 or 10 am early. This works to your advantage, so don't complain about not sleeping in. At each store you stop at you will want to take both you paper, with the item and price written down, and the store sale ad. Once your in the store only shop for the items you wrote down, if you can't find something, ask an employee, using the store sale ad, with photo. This way the employee knows exactly what you are looking for, and can help you much faster. Once you have the merchandise you originally came for, check out, and leave. The earlier you check out the better, by 9am you'll have up to an hour wait in line. As soon as you check out, head to the next store and repeat the same thing all over. By the time the stores get really jammed pack, you will be almost done, if not already finished.

Important Tips!
* There are plenty of crooks in the world. Make sure you keep your car locked at all times.
* Never put shopping bags where they can be seen, the trunk is the best spot.
* Ladies, keep your purse on you at all times, never set it in the shopping cart.
* It is best to leave the kids at home, you will not be able to keep your eye on them at all times.
