Viewing Hidden Files in Windows ME
1. Minimize all the programs you have open to access your desktop. Double-click on the My Computer icon on your desktop. This will open the My Computer dialogue window.
2. Click on Tools at the top of the dialogue window, and select Folder Options from the drop-down menu.
3. Click on the View tab in the Folder Options window that opens.
4. Go to the Hidden files and folders section.
- Select on the radio button that reads: Show hidden files and folders.
- Un-check the checkbox for the option that reads: Hide file extensions for known file types.
- Un-check the checkbox for the option that reads: Hide protected operating system files.
6. This configures your Windows ME or Windows 2000 computer to enable viewing of all the hidden files and folders.
