If you do any online shopping, you may want to consider setting up a PayPal account. It is very easy to do. If you need a personal account you can go to their website by clicking on this link. This will take to PayPal's home page. If you look to your left you will see a link that says sign up. When you click on the link it will take you to a page where you can select your country and language. The defaults are the United States and English. You can then click on Get Started under the Personal label. You will then enter in your email address, password, name, address, and phone number. They will not sell your number or disclose it to anyone; they just need it in case they need to contact you about your account. After you enter in all the required information it's as simple as clicking the "Agree and Create Account" Button. You will then be taken to a page that will help you verify your account. You do not have to do this at this time, but some sellers on EBay request you have a verified account. To add a bank account, you click on the continue button under that heading. You will then enter your information including your routing number and account number. After you click continue, you will be taken to your account, and you will complete the verification process in 2-3 days. In 2-3 days you will need to call your bank and ask them for the deposit amounts that PayPal placed in your account. They will be two small amounts. You will then log into PayPal and enter in these amounts by clicking on the "Confirm Bank Account" link in your to do list. You can also verify by applying for a PayPal Plus Credit Card. I do not suggest a credit card because the annual percentage rate is very high!
PayPal is a secure way to buy items on shopping sites. EBay actually suggests using PayPal to purchase items because they will reimburse you if you do not receive the item you bought. They offer protection and it is all free. It isn't very hard to set up an account and it is free to pay or receive funds. It is also essential to have a PayPal account if you are planning on working from home. You need the account also if you do paid surveys or some paid to click sites.
