How to Make Slammin' Oatmeal

Rachelle Lynn Williams
A lot of people will tell you that they don't like oatmeal. Well, I figure that it may be because they don't really know how to make it or they haven't tasted it when it was prepared really well. Try my recipe and you may think differently about oatmeal in the future.

1) Refrigerate a can of sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated milk) for a couple of hours before cooking your oatmeal.

2) Bring one cup of water and a couple of pinches of salt to a boil.

3) Add 1/2 cup of oatmeal to the boiling pot of water.

4) Turn down the heat to medium and then constantly stir the oatmeal for about two minutes.

5) Remove the oatmeal from the heat and transfer it to a bowl.

6) Finally, stir in 2 Tablespoons of the cold sweetened condensed milk, a pat of butter, and a couple drops of real vanilla extract.

Voilla! Now you have a slammin' bowl of oatmeal. If you'd like to you can stir in some cinnamon, raisins, walnuts or pecans. This recipe makes one serving. Enjoy! Peace
