When applied properly, smoky eye make up looks dramatic, smouldering and sexy, but when applied improperly, you can end up with hollow looking panda eyes.
Also many women make the mistake of thinking that you have to use all black eyeshadow to create a smoky look, but smoky eyes can be created with a whole range of colours such as grey, green, brown, even dark blue.
Step 1:
Apply foundation all over the eyelid and right up to the browbone, this will give you a nice even base that will not only help the eyeshadow stay on for longer, but it will also make they whole look more dramatic as the colour will stand out much more.
Step 2: Apply a dark shade of eyeshadow such as dark brown or dark blue into the crease of your eyeshadow, blend it upwards slightly.
Apply the same colour to the upper, outer corner of your eyelid and blend into the crease. Next, apply this colour underneath your eye along your bottom lashes and smudge gently.
Step 3: Apply black eyeshadow at the bottom outer corner of your eye and blend gently outwards.
Step 4: Apply mascara; hold the wand at the base of your lashes and move it up in a zig zag motion. Comb through with an eyelash comb.
Hold the wand horizontally and apply mascara to your bottom lashes in a sweeping motion from side to side.
Wait for the mascara to dry and apply another coat to both sets of lashes in the same way.
Step 5: Apply dark eyeliner to the inner rim of your lower eyelashes.
Step 6: Apply a light coloured eyeshadow such as white, ivory or iridescent to your browbone and blend.
