How to Get Smoother Skin for Summer

Stormy Brooke Swain
Do you have a problem with bumpy skin and want it fixed so your body looks great this summer? If so there are several ways to get results and minimize acne, dead skin, bumps and pimples so you can have smoother skin for summer. Products work best on your face if they are natural like sugar scrubs or exfoliating masks with fruit being the main ingredient. It may take time, but finding a great scar remover and lotion will help your body heal itself from dry skin problems and give you a shinier and smoother summer skin. I've used all of the following tips and feel about five years younger this summer, hopefully you will too.

Exfoliate, Exfoliate, Exfoliate

Get rid of your dead skin, if you do it will give you healthier and smoother skin for summer. If you have wrinkles, you should notice them less after you exfoliate daily or every other day, for about three months. This should be a common practice for people who have dry skin, or who have neglected a skin care regimen for a period of time. I believe the key to smoother skin for me, is exfoliating. I love using a sugar scrub or apricot scrub on a daily basis on my face and rough areas like elbows and feet. Neutrogena has a product called the Wave Duo, which I love with the exfoliating pads that I buy to go with it. This can be found in most grocery and drug stores for a low price.

Fight Acne

Get rid of those pesky pimples, if you have one or tons, they can drive you nuts when you are trying to get smoother skin for summer. Remember to never scrub your acne, but get a gentle wash to rinse your face with. I love Neutrogena's Oil-Free Acne Wash Redness Soothing Facial Cleanser, it's great for reducing redness and giving the look of smoother skin for summer.

Do You Have Body Acne?

If you work out in the summer months or sweat a lot while you work out, you are susceptible to body acne, most people get it on their backs, arms and legs. To combat this use a body acne use Neutrogena's cleansing bar and acne wash. You should also change clothes after working out, and shower in warm water or rinse off a few times a day, this will help give you smoother skin for summer.

Bikini Line Bumps

I use a four step process, when I shave or remove hair from my bikini line. Those bumps are awful when trying to look my best at the pool or beach. To keep my skin smooth I exfoliate with an apricot scrub, shave with hot water, rinse with cold water and use a hydrocortisone cream from the drug store. If the bumps are real bad, I put a cold wash rag on the bumps or even ice to get them to minimize.

Scars From Pimples?

Neutrogena has a mask that helps remove scars that can stick around after a pimple. I have tried several scar creams, that I picked up at the drug store and like them all the same. Use a cream daily and a mask weekly, and you will see smoother skin for the summer.
