How to Snag a Millionaire

On Thursday, Feb 12, the second season of Bravo's Millionaire Matchmaker premieres. This show is a must see for people who enjoy watching others find love. You can learn some helpful tips along the way on how to snag a millionaire. Or snag any noteworthy guy. Most of the millionaires are men who use Patti Stanger's service to find a beautiful, accomplished woman to share their life with. This season there will be a female millionaire. Patti has a list of commandments that she shares with the women and the men to help them find real love. She has now penned a book that entails her commandments and secrets for finding the one for you. Her book is entitled, "Become Your Own Matchmaker", and is available in stores and on Amazon.com.

Watching the show has provided great tips to helping women secure a great relationship with a millionaire. Culled from Patti's tips and watching the women who actually snagged a millionaire, here are my conclusions as to how to snag a millionaire.

1. Be Feminine

Most of the women on the show were feminine looking model and actress types. But, you don't have to be a model or an actress to be feminine. The women who really stood out to the millionaires were usually very lady-like, graceful and elegant. Classy. Be sure to cultivate your femininity by dressing femininely and accentuating your assets in a tasteful way. Nice dresses, manicured finger and toenails, well-coifed hair, smooth skin, intoxicating perfume, etc. Be lady-like and demonstrate proper etiquette no matter where you are.

2. Have Your Own Thing

Be passionate about something, whether it's your career, a cause that you devote volunteer efforts toward, a hobby, something. When you follow your passions and enjoy your life, you become much more interesting to a man.

3. Be Well Rounded

As a single woman, you have the resources and time to devote to living a well rounded life. So, travel, try new restaurants, build and maintain connections with friends, try to do something adventurous and different once a week, or once a month, read a new book, try a new hobby, learn a craft, learn a new language. The ideas are limitless, but by doing different things you become more well-rounded, and therefore, more interesting.

4. Command Respect

Patti told a millionaire in the first season that he should be sure to call back soon for a follow up date. If the guy waits around to call, like a week or more, and the woman accepts the date, it shows that she is a doormat. She's waiting around for him to call. Instead, she should have moved on, and realized that he wasn't truly interested if it took him that long to call her. You have to be confident in yourself, and realize that you are a great catch, and wait for the guy that is worth your time.

When a man really wants a woman, he will definitely call sooner rather than later. Show respect for yourself and command it from a man by not putting up with nonsense.
