Now that the holiday season is fast approaching it is time for direct sales business owners to step it up a notch. Now is the time to spend more time doing business online. With this in mind, here are some ways in which you can use social media to save you time and build your business this holiday season.

Gather Emails

Make sure that you get every customer's email address and learn whether or not they are on Facebook. If they are on Facebook, make sure to send them a friend request so that you can stay in touch. This should be done within one day of them doing business with you so that they remember who you are.

Invite Customers To Facebook

Once you have invited all of your customers to join your Facebook page, don't start spamming them. Instead, send them some time saving holiday tips. This is also a great way for you to send them quick updates with links to your sales and specials.

Gather Up Wish Lists From Your Customers

Throughout the year you should work on creating a wish list for each of your customers. Keep a copy of this so that you can easily send them gifts throughout the holiday season. This is also a great way for them to make quick reference of items that they might enjoy purchasing for their family and friends. Make sure that these are kept in a spreadsheet for easy referencing.

Know What Specials Your Company Is Running

Make sure that you know what specials your company is running throughout the holiday season. Whenever you think of someone who might really enjoy one of the specials that is running, make sure to send them a special email or Facebook message.

Offer Your Customers Templates To Make Their Shopping Easier

Consider offering your customers templates that they can use to make their holiday shopping much easier. This can be as simple as a Word document listing some common people that you would purchase gifts for and suggestions for each - just make sure to leave them room to add their own recipients as well. You can easily upload this to an online document source or your own blog. Not only will this work well for this year but it will give them a record for next year as well.

Utilize Your Newsletter

Remember to utilize your newsletter. Whenever you are sending out holiday time saving tips, you should also be including information about how to shop with you this holiday season. This will make you the source they turn to for this kind of information this holiday and in future holidays too.
