It truly does matter where you pump your gas these days to help stop this absurd tradition of buying from the enemies. Everyone needs to know which gas companies truly care about your well being and purchase from other places instead of Iraq and the rest of the Middle East. Some gas companies that do not buy from the Middle East are: Hess, Sunoco, Maverik. The list for the gas companies whom really purchase their gas is staggeringly higher than those who don't. Some of the gas companies who do buy gas from the Middle East are: Amoco, ARCO, Beacon, Chevron, Coastal, Conoco, Exxon, ExxonMobil, Getty, Gulf, Mobil, Shell, Texaco, Total, Valero, and many, many more. You can see the whole list of gas companies whom do buy from the Middle East here.
So basically these companies are helping equip the terrorists groups in the Middle East, which, in logic, kills our soliers, the people who out there fighting for the United States of America. These companies are essentially handing these terrorists AK-47's for money. Such greed doesn't deserve our money at all.
If you believe that this matter doesn't pertain to you at all. What if you have children who may be enlisted but wont think they will be deployed? This heightens the risk of their deployment since more soldiers are being killed. Over time, wont moe soldiers have to sent out to help fulfill the shoes of the soldiers who have either been hurt and/or killed? Someone has to fight out there while this whole dilemma is going on to defend us. If it doesn't pertain to you or your children, or even your friends or their children, think about people you pass on the street, see in the grocery store, or at the barbers. Any one of those people could be sent out, or have a loved one being sent out thanks to your contribution to the gas companies, which, in logic once again, handed those terrorists AK-47's and other powerful firearms to shoot at our soldiers.
So next time you see that your car is nearly out of gas, head to a Hess, Sunoco, or one of the other gas companies that do not supply terrorists with weapons. Even if it is a little more expensive at one of the other places (which I am unsure if it truly is), is it worth saving $1 or $2 to risk a soldier's life?

Oh David. There are simply other means to get the resources we need to run our country. Just because we have hate groups within the US's population doesn't mean we should help other terror groups from other countries gain power by helping funding them. Especially since it's easier to keep a look out on the groups within the US, and these groups have rights as well. The terrorist groups in other countries are more threatening since we cannot watch them as closely. Overall, why even help fund them at all? Why risk more lives for the sake of oil? I don't understand, but maybe I value life a little more than other people.
This editorial is a vast oversimplification of a serious, global problem. The Persian Gulf is not the only home to terrorists, nor are the countries from which we buy oil directly funding terror organizations. Here is a list of radical groups in our own country: The American Nazi Party, The AntiDefamation League (not the real group, but a new group that uses the same name and teaches the oposite http://compuserb.com/antidefamationleague/), KKK, America's Invisible Empire, and the list goes on for many pages. If members of any of these groups accept SSI or Welfare, would we assume that our government sponsors terror groups? Some arab governments live in fear of their own country's terror groups. The radical right and left do not play well together.
