Getting a good night's rest will help you to feel refreshed in the morning. It will also allow you to take a more leisurely pace, as you will be able to rise earlier. This will give you some extra time to get ready for work. The time left over can be spent reading the newspaper or watching a little T.V. before you head out the door.
How to speed up the morning ritual #2 Prepare your shower items the night before
It does not take much time to get everything ready the night before. Think of how you go through your morning ritual. What do you do first? If you take a shower before anything else, then the night before make sure there is a clean towel in the bathroom, your toiletries are within reach and clothes are picked out. That goes for all the accompanying accessories too, such as a ring, watch, bracelet, necklace and so on.
How to speed p the morning ritual #3 Get ready for breakfast
Rather than skip breakfast and suffer for it later on, take out a bowl, spoon and mug, and place them on the counter top ready for the morning. If you will be eating pancakes, make the batter up the night before and place it in the fridge. The same goes for other cooked breakfast items. This will help save you a lot of time, as all items will be together and breakfast will be ready in next to no time.
How to speed up the morning ritual #4 Keys and shoes
Why is it that when you are in a hurry, your keys and shoes decide to go walk about? If that is your experience, then decide where you will keep them and stick to it. I tend to place them in different places each time, so I need to work harder to keep my shoes and keys within easy reach too! Near the front door could be the best option. If the keys are constantly being lost, then place them in the same drawer or key rack after each use. If all else fails, just place them inside your shoes, so that when you get ready to leave, your shoes and keys are both together.
How to speed up the morning ritual #5 Prepare lunch
If you prefer to take your own packed lunch with you, do not leave it until the morning to prepare it. Try to do it soon after you get home from each each day, so that it is done and ready to take with you. Add some fruit and a bottle of water, for a healthy lunch.
Adding a few extra minutes to your morning routine does not need to involve complicated changes to your life. It is simple to do if you take the time to prepare for the next day the night before.
