The bedroom is the most romantic room in the house and should reflect that. Find time to create a bedroom that shows your sensuality and it will reward you with many hours of quality time.

Add a rug that muffles sound and has a plush feel under the feet. A thick rug will add an air of privacy to the room by blocking noise from below. A beautiful, luxurious rug adds drama and flair to a bedroom. If you pick exotic colors the rug will also add sensuality and even a racy air to a room.

I fell in love with my bedroom rug the minute I saw it. It is a huge, thick Oriental rug, with a black background and swirls and butterflies in pale blue as accents. I love the abstract patterns and the colors. This rug brings me joy every time I see it. It is a sexy rug and adds a lot of pizzazz to the room.

Use Bold Colors on Walls

Certain colors amp up the mood in a room in a very intense way. Use paint to add an air of the erotic to the bedroom. Pick a color that enervates you or reminds you of a romantic memory. Create a unique bedroom with paint colors that reflect your sensual side.

So many lamps are romantic. Even if no one else thinks so a lamp may be very romantic to you if you purchased it on a romantic vacation or it was a gift from a beloved. Lamps add sensuality to a room when they have a color, accent or detail that is beautiful.

I have a small lamp that has crystal pendants hanging from the base. They reflect light (even candle light) and add a bit of sparkle to the room. I like their elegance and the sexy look of crystal.

I have an antique pair of candle sticks from an ancestor. They are tall and in a shimmery black glass with some hints of purple in it too. I love them for their history and their beauty. I put tall candles in them. I think candle light is very romantic.

Take the time to create a romantic bedroom. Try to avoid having a TV or computer in the bedroom. The most romantic rooms focus on romance and avoid reminders of work or the outside world.

There are many types of bedrooms. For some a romantic room is sleek and minimal and for others it is plush and full of lush fabrics. Find your romantic style and enjoy time in a room that warms your heart.
