How to Make Spinach Lasagna

Dee  Davis
Sometimes instead of spending a few hours or more making dinner, I would like to just walk into the kitchen, snap my fingers and have it all be over with. However, that is not possible; it isn't real life. After a hectic day, I am sure many of you feel the same. The other day I was feeling just like that, as a result, I just threw something together, (besides spaghetti and meat sauce) and it ended up being a hit. I was also quite pleased with the results and I hope you are too.

Things You'll Need:

* lasagna
* 1/2 pound ground turkey
* 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
* 1 small onions chopped
* a dash of oregano
* 1 1/2 tsp seasoning salt
* 1 clove garlic
* 2 tbsp olive oil
* 1 cup roasted red pepper Alfredo
* 1/2 cup classic Alfredo
* 1 cup half and half
* 1/2 package of shredded spinach
* wooden spoon
* frying pan
* baking pan

Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat pan on medium heat; pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil into pan and sauté onions. Then season ground turkey with seasoning salt, garlic, and oregano and let it simmer.

Step 2: In the meantime, break lasagna into small rectangular pieces. Then boil lasagna following instructions on the box. After the lasagna has been boiled, pour off water and set aside.

Step 3: Preheat oven at 350 degrees. In the frying pan, add roasted red pepper Alfredo, classic Alfredo, half-and-half and then stir. Then add the spinach, stir and let the meat sauce simmer for about 5 minutes. Then add cooked lasagna and stir until the meat sauce covers lasagna completely.

Step 4: Immediately, pour the lasagna and meat sauce into baking pan and sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Then cover and bake in the oven for about 25 to 30 minutes or until sauce bubbles. Finally, remove from oven and serve while hot. Bonne appetite!

OPTIONAL: Be creative! Create your own sauce if you do not have the ones listed above. First melt two tablespoons of butter in frying pan on medium-low heat. Chop ½ of a small onion, one clove garlic, add to butter and sauté. After a few minutes pour in either cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup, and then add 1 cup milk, and 2 tablespoons sour cream. Let it simmer on medium-low heat, and then add salt or seasoning to taste. Then continue from step 3 (add spinach).

Tips & Warnings

* 1. Season meat to taste.
* 2. Do not over boil lasagna.
* 3. Never allow ground meat to clump together.
* 4. You can create you own sauce instead of using the sauce listed above.
