How to Be Spiritual

Many people have issues with religion--most people don't have issues with spirituality. This is a short article on how to be more spiritual.

Step 1) Stop cursing, stop eating so much, stop smoking cigarettes, stop doing drugs, and moderate your drinking. Exercise daily and keep a morning routine (go to bed at 10:00 p.m. and get up at 5:00 a.m.)--this will make you in alignment with nature. Monitor your thoughts--make sure they are faith-filled thoughts and not fear-filled thoughts. End your incessant worry by learning to live in the moment. This is the beginning of becoming more spiritual.

Step 2) Meditate twice a day for 20 minutes each time--once in the morning and once at night. You need to make time in your day for prayer as well (prayer as separate from meditation). The meditation and prayer will start to slow you down, help you concentrate, and begin to show you the interconnectedness of all nature.

Step 3) Make time for fellowship with other spiritual seekers. This typically takes the form of going to chuch on Sundays.

Step 4) Get a spiritual mentor. In order to progress to the next stage of spirituality, you need a mentor who will take you to the next level.

Step 5) Start communing with fellow spiritual seekers on a daily basis rather than just a weekly basis. This is a step-by-step practical guide in becoming a more spiritual person.
