How to Spot Online Money Making Scams

Sarah P
We all know that everybody could use more cold hard cash, and if we can help it, it ought to be easy, fast and at home. But there is a large issue that follows this quest: there are people who know that people like us exist, and they aren't afraid to scam people like us out of money either. So what are we supposed to do?

Well that's what I am going to show you, and help you stay out of being scammed. I am one of the lucky few online who haven't been scammed thus far. And by scammed, I mean that I have not invested money into a company and made a lost. In fact, if they ask for money that should be the first sign that it is scam! So I feel that if I can help people not to be scammed, then I should. So I will share a few red flags and sites that ought to help you know about scams.

First I'll start off with some rules to live by-

Never pay a dime! Real jobs in the real world, don't ask for you money, right? So why pay to "get hired"?

If it sounds too good to be true, then chances are that it is.

Do research, read up about it as much as you can. Look for proofs of payment! If you see more people are saying it's a scam and less amount of people saying it isn't, don't bother. If the larger amount of people are saying they got paid and fewer say it's a scam, try it with a grain of salt.

If they don't tell you what you do to get paid, or they claim that you get paid by surfing the net or owning a part of the internet, don't bother.

Now some scams that are large out here in world wide web.

Data Entry-

We all have heard of these dream jobs, and all have wanted them. It sounds so easy and quick to make money through. But, if anyone else has googled the term "data entry", you would be shown scams up the neck! Most ask you for a "small fee", and then your on your own. Not good. Most data entry type of jobs are scams, so the safest bet is, don't try any data entry.

Craigslist.org-

It may seem like a good choice to look for a at home job, but you need to remember that it is free to post ads. A quick and cheap way to scam thousands of people on one site. If they really were real companies searching to hire, they would go to a site like careerbuilder.com

"Home Business Opportunity"-

I'm sure we all have seen this fancy pages that state you can make $1,000,000.00 dollars a day, all you have to do, is pay money to learn how. As tempting as that may be, it is safe to say it is a scam. How do they make their money, you think?

Paid to do nothing-

Come on, how do you think you can earn money by doing nothing? Really?

AWSurveys.com

Scam, they do not post new surveys ever.

Paid Surveys

Most of them won't even pay cash now, instead you get tickets for contest. And chances are that 99.9% of the time, you won't even qualify for the surveys. A waste of time.

As time goes on, I will update this article with more rules and scam sites. So please do bookmark it.
