There are many interesting art projects in this world. One is called can art. I bet that you have never heard of it. Can art is popular in Los Angeles. Can art is echo friendly. You recycle spray paint cans that you find from places that people have left them. Some places that you might look are grave yards, skate parks, streets, or basically anywhere you know graffiti is big. Well I guess your wondering how you are going to do this. Here are the steps that make it possible for you to make your can into art.
1. You first have to find as many spray paint cans that you can find
2. Buy spray paint cans with paint in them because that is what you're going to us to paint with
3. After you do that with the cans that you collected you are going to get a shovel or a garden hoe and hit the used spray paint cans. This will let as much of the aerosol bleed out of the can as possible.
4. After step 3, you need to get a pair of either garden shears or some really pointy tool to make a hole in a side of the can. The hole needs to be big enough to put a pair of pliers in to get the marble and straw out of it
5. Now your going to want to get a pair of needle nose pliers and widen the hole and there will a hose/straw on the inside and pull the hose out. There will also be a small ball in the inside take that out and discard both
6. After steps 1 through 5 are complete you start spraying your can. Put it on a surface where you don't mind if it gets stained. For example on a piece of ply wood
This kind of art is a good way to express your creativity in a whole different way, it is also good to find different items to put in the hole of your can or even on your can. I have seen things such as old computer software, scrap metal, you could even use the marble that was on the inside, I have seen all these on the inside of the cans. Things that I have seen on the outside are bugs, metal, clay, and almost anything you can find. The fun thing about this project is that basically the can is your canvas and you're able to express yourself and maybe even tell a story with it. What you should try and do is put things on it or makes things out of the can that you normally don't see all the time. You also don't have to follow these steps you can just draw, paint, or even stack them to make things like shown in the pictures below. But all and all just have fun doing it.
