For this St. Patrick's Day hat the only supplies you will need are scissors and green construction paper. If you want to decorate your St. Patrick's Day hat you can add glue and glitter to the list of supplies you will need as well as some clover stickers. You can get all of these supplies at your local craft store or retail store for about seven dollars.
The first thing you want to do is fold your green construction paper in half short-ways so that it makes a big rectangle. Then cut about three inches off of the bottom of the green construction paper leaving a strip so it looks like an "L" shape.
You will then unfold the paper and it will look like a basic hat with the brim of the hat being the part you left on at the bottom after it was cut.
You can then use a black pen to make a square in the center of the hat and add some green glitter of silver glitter to the hat for decorating. If you want to use glitter you can either get the glitter glue pens or you can use regular loose glitter and then use glue to hold it down to the hat.
You can also add some stickers to the sides of the hat or anywhere you want to create a very festive St. Patrick's Day hat.
This is a very easy way to make a St. Patrick's Day hat and it is also very easy so that your child can become involved and make a hat of their own. It is important if you do this craft with your children to supervise them and watch them with the glue and glitter since it can become messy if you choose to decorate the hat with those supplies. This is a very inexpensive way to make a St. Patrick's Day hat and it is also very quick to make which is great for people who are on the go.
