Clean out your cupboards and fridge of all the foods that are not part of your weight loss diet. That means throwing out sweets, biscuits, sugary drinks and chocolate. Having clean cupboards and fridge will also boost your feeling of well-being and help you focus on your new weight loss diet plan.
Now you have empty cupboards to need to fill them again. Plan your meals, snacks and drinks for the week following the eating suggestion in your weight loss diet and shop only for those foods. Choose recipes and meals that you are comfortable cooking and really like to eat. Don't choose meals that are too time consuming or complicated to prepare. It is also great to think seasonally when planning your meals. Fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits are always more plentiful as well a being fresh and cheaper when in season. Having a water filter as home means you can prepare your own bottled water to take with you when you are out of the house. This will save you money in the long run and stop you from being tempted to buying fattening sugary drinks.
Try to remove takeaway and fast food from your diet. Stay away from fast food chains that serve very fattening foods in particular burger chains and pizza chains. If you have to eat takeaway food chose take out that contains lots of fresh vegetables like an Asian stir-fry or a salad without the dressing. It is going to be a lot less fattening than a burger. Find the takeaway stores in your neighborhood that have a healthier low fat meals and keep the menus for them in the house. Throw away all the take out menus that are for fattening takeaway food. Delete the numbers of takeaway joints from your phone as well. Put temptation as far away as possible.
Prepare healthy weight loss snacks to take out with you. Shop for them when you do your weekly shopping so you already have them in the house and keep them in your bag or close to it so these diet snacks always leave the house with you. If your diet does not suggest some diet snack foods you can include nuts like almonds and walnuts, dried fruit without added sugar and fresh fruit. Try to avoid sugary breakfast snack bars. Don't forget your bottle of filtered water from home.
