Usually when you have this type of question, Google would be the end of your search. But, since there are no realistic laws against scams over the web, Google can be your worst enemy. But the real secret to making money online can't be found on a search engine. The search engines actually represent a much later step in the money making process, not the first.
The key to actually turning a profit online is to know yourself, to get to the bottom of what you can do. Playing to your strengths is your best advantage. Do you have a talent or ability that you can sell? Can you make pottery or shoes? Any skill you may have, no matter how insignificant, is an online money making opportunity for you. Remember that the audience here includes more than just your local area; This is the world you are marketing to. People buy all manner of bizarre things online, so don't dismiss any of your potentially marketable skills too quickly.
If, after you perform this basic action, you still believe you can't make hand crafted widgets for profit, then, and only then, begin looking for other avenues of income. As a matter of course, survey and PTC sites are weak and not worth your time, with the exception of programs like CashCrate and Fairy Tale Treasures, which actually pay okay, but are extremely annoying to deal with. Blogging is eventually profitable, but takes a long time to really produce any gains.
The real online money making success stories are with prolific writers. It is not enough to write, you must write quickly and in massive volume. Focus on the subjects available at Helium and then submit your article to all the other content for pay sites on non-exclusive terms, no matter how cheap or tacky they may seem. If you add up the pay from articles, each article earning around three dollars or more on average, you can quickly calculate how many articles a day you need to write to support yourself. Then take this number and divide it into the number of hours available for work.
In this case, at three dollars average rate per article, a good goal would be thirty articles per day. This is a tremendous amount of articles to write. Attaining this goal on a regular basis would take a supreme effort, but if we break it down into time spent on each article, the amount is actually somewhat manageable. If you were to put in eight solid hours a day writing, to produce thirty articles you would have to produce an article every sixteen minutes.
This may sound extreme at first, but remember the articles are four to five hundred words and the general strategy is to write about something that you are an expert on, usually the nice topic of your blog. This allows you to conform to the standards of all the possible content sites and still use the articles on your blog or website. Always remember to spread your content around everywhere you can. Every published article carries a link back to you, and your blog or site. Make the most of this and within a few years of back breaking work and carpal tunnel in both hands, you should be doing pretty well.

Post a CommentPat has it right. I wrote the article as a kind of ''OMG I need money now'' thing for writers who want to produce loads of content quickly. If you want content with ''legs'' take your time and do it right.
Well written. Thanks for the tips.
Spending a little more time per article and going after a higher paying market now and then can net you more than you might think. Also, "residual income" such as AC has started giving will increase your earnings. Leave a little time to promote what you've written and you'll make better money!
