1. Go to your local health club, here in Illinois I go to Bally's in Oak Lawn,Illinois ,South Suburb of Chicago. I go there every morning and every evening. This is a cool way to keep warm and keep you blood flowing. If work out is not for you then go to the next step. But with working out you keep your body active and this helps you stay fit in the winter months.
2. Start making projects that you would usually do in the summer. Get a plan going and start writing the tasks that you would want to complete. This does not mean go clean your garage or clean your attic. Do actual repairs that you said you were going to do, this will make piece with the person who you are married to that won't nag you in the Summer to do. Make sure your tasks at hand will last you through out the summer, and by Spring you are ready to get the gold clubs or go fishing and enjoy it because all you tasks are done and summer is your months to relax.
3. If the last two idea's are not for you, then I suggest you try taking a small vacation trip to a warmer climate, if you are single and your job offers travel, let them know you want to go and travel for the company, the company I work I traveled to California last year. On January 12th 2009 it was almost 13 below Zero. I stayed in California for 3 weeks, by the time I did get back the cold snap was over and it was easier to work outside like I do. This year I have told my company if they needed me to travel I am all for it. Besides going somewhere it is warm it also makes your boss or your company think that you are all for the job and this helps when promotion time comes around.
In closing I hope my idea's help you, and I wish all the readers out here the very best.
