How to Stay Connected with Your Friends All Year Long

Holidays are a busy time of year. With all the things to accomplish, meals to make and gifts to be wrapped we sometimes forget about all the other things that need to taken care of also. Here are suggestions to still get your goals accomplished for this year and accomplish new goals with lots of friends for the New Year.First, everybody sends the holiday card with updates and pictures every year. Why not instead of the letter and the card send it every new season a small letter or email. You can call your letter seasonal update instead of the yearly update. Also, you can send recipes, reading materials or any other interesting items for your seasonal update care package.

Before the holiday season have a holiday gift, clothing and recipe swap meet. Money is tight for a lot of people and some people don't have the money to buy a new dress for the holiday party this year. Also, if that recipe you make for the holiday is a family favorite, why not others enjoy it too. We all complain about the weight gain because of the holidays so make a commitment to stay in shape together. Even if you have to get up early go with your friends to jog, run or speed walk. Just get together and enjoy the benefits of exercise together. You can could do households chores together. The house has to get ready for the guests and dusting a lot more fun when it is done with a friend. This also a good excuse to play some of that old music that your kids don't appreciate but your friends will love. Another option is walk some shelter dogs together. If you are thinking of getting your kids a pet for the holidays this a great way exercise and socialize and make a new pet friend in the process. Also, consider picking a cable exercise show and then do the show every time it on air. You can give a phone call every time it on TV to remind her to get in front of that TV and exercise.

Remember to take some time to read. You can even use a video phone and read chapter along with your friends. Read some holiday classics or holiday stories together. You can call it the virtual reading club. Then you can email her some further reading book discussions questions to further enhance your book discussions.

When it comes to gifts think about sending your gifts all year round. If you saw that book that book in March that your friend would love then send it right away. Send that small token of love to tell them you send it with your love just because you wanted to.

Don't let the holidays pass in a flash. Remember to record or take pictures to capture the fun times that you and your friends had during the year. A holiday scrapbook retrospective of your fun filled year with friends will be worth a year full of holiday cheer. Also send your friends some cheap throw away camera so they can easily take some pictures. These cameras are easy to fit in a purse and no worries about damaging of camera equipment. So bring on that eggnog, food and cookies as long it shared with good friends. Then go exercise together the next day to work it off.
