As an employee of Outpost Natural Foods, one thing I've noticed is the job situation really doesn't seem to stop people from coming in to our natural foods store and implementing ways regarding how to stay healthy without health insurance for the prevention of illness. Here's a few of the things I have seen and heard of them doing as they use this avenue to thwart off poor health.
Raw Foods
I've noticed a strong interest in the area of raw foods. The public is starting to become aware of the medicinal, healing power that exists in making use of the raw food realm. I've found myself engaged in conversations with people who are interested in learning more about how this aspect of self-help can effectively maintain their health in a positive way. I've swapped stories with these folks that allow them to see my own miraculous experiences health wise occurring as a result of adopting more raw foods and raw juices as a part of my lifestyle.
Juicing
Our Outpost juicer is always humming! It gets very little rest during normal business hours and that's because folks recognize that juicing raw foods releases their power to heal. For instance, when the juicer rips into a seemingly ho-hum beet, it releases all kinds of components within that beet that are conducive to purifying the liver in a potent way. In fact a combination of raw foods like beet, carrot, lemon and ginger make a fine medicinal juice that on a regular basis will keep your health thriving.
Whole Foods
The whole food avenue of eating is yet another effective way to manage a lifestyle of preventative health. By regularly implementing whole foods into your diet and lifestyle you will be offering more to your body by way of imperative nutrients. Whole grains are effective ways to give the body the much needed B vitamins it needs to counter the stress of life. Nuts and seeds provide a plethora of nutrition that not only encompasses vitamins and minerals but much needed whole oils that nourish us in a number of ways.
Supplements
Making supplements part of your health regimen is helpful to a number of health issues that might otherwise need to be treated with pharmaceuticals that were once covered by health insurance through an employer. I have personally talked to a number of people who since losing their employment and the health insurance that went with it, have adopted some new ways to manage their health problems through vitamins and other supplements. In this way many folks I've talked to have been able to be effective in maintaining a quality of living other than what they had done in the past while enrolled in health insurance through their employment and on their prescriptions.
