How to Steal a Girl from a Guy at a Bar

There's competition a-plenty out there in the Meat Market, and it's no holds barred. Any dating tactic that won't get you arrested is fair game, and so are things that would get you arrested as long as you don't get caught. Guys steal girls from other guys all the time, and you're probably tired of guys stealing girls from right under your arm. Turn the tables. Here's how to steal a girl from a guy at a bar.
  1. The first step to stealing a girl from a guy at a bar is to locate the girl you want. This may seem obvious, but you need to do some reconnaisance before you step in, to see how the girl is responding to the guys that she's around.

When you spot a weakness, that's the girl for you. This can include:

Forced conversation or laughter with a guy and no girls around to save her
The girl looking around, obviously bored
The girl giving the guy sideways glances
Girl making guy run all over the bar to get drinks and coats

  2. Once you've spotted your girl to steal, meet eyes with her. One way you can tell she's interested is if she continues to talk with her guy and keeps looking your way. He's losing already.

  3. Keep your eyes locked on her and approach. Doesn't matter if he sees you or not, but you want to position your body somehow between them. Get your shoulder in there like a doorstop. Don't physically force anything, especially if the guy's bigger than you; you're going to win this with finesse.

  4. Find something to say. Anything. It can relate to their conversation or not. Most likely not, because their conversation is weak anyway, with no connection.

Start with a question that both of them can answer. As a matter of fact, turn to the guy first. After he answers, turn to your girl. As she answers, begin turning your back to the guy, inch by inch.

  5. Keep the girl talking and pretend (or not, if she's actually smart) to be increasingly engrossed by her answer. Move in closer to her. The other guy will naturally have to back away, even if it's a little bit.

If he doesn't, turn to him with a quick "Excuse me just one second. Her answer to this question is absolutely riveting and it's hard to hear. Could you..." then motion slightly with your shoulder, whatever it takes to get your body wedged between the two.

  6. Keep her talking for as long as you need to to get the other guy to get too embarrassed and leave. Congratulations -- you just stole a girl from "that guy" in a bar!
