Stick figure families are everywhere these days--chances are, you've seen them on decals stuck to the back of a mini van. Each stick figure represents a family member and their pets. Stick families have made their way to the Internet, allows you to create an artistic rendition of your family for free. Decorate your Facebook profile with a stick figure representation of your family by using a simple application. Here's how to do this on Facebook.

Step 1 - Log into your Facebook account with your registered email address and password.

Step 2: Type "stick family" in the Facebook search box and press "Enter."

Step 3: Click on the "My Family" application that pulls up in the search results. Once the page loads, click the "Go to Application" button. You'll be brought to a log in page. Click "Allow access" to give the My Family app access to your Facebook profile information. Wait for the next page to load.

Step 4: Create your stick figure family. Type in a name for your Facebook stick figure family in the text box. This can be your last name plus the word "Family" (as in "Smith Family") or any name you'd like. Select each stick figure to add to your family. Each gender and type has its own tab: men, women, children and pets. There's also an "other" tab to add holiday decorations and doodads. Many stick figures depict certain hobbies--if your son enjoys playing the guitar, select the boy jamming out on the guitar to represent him. Also note that some stick figures have angel wings--this indicates that the family member or pet has passed away. Avoid confusion by not choosing angel stick figures on family members who are still alive.

Step 5: Write each family member or pet's name in the text box below his or her stick figure.

Step 6: Click "Add to profile" after you're finished selecting stick figures and giving them names. You can also export the image as a .JPG to use in other applications or graphic software programs. You can also add your stick figure family to your Facebook "Info" tab by the clicking "Add to info" button.

Have fun creating your Facebook stick figure family!
