Getting stuff/things done is essential. If you don't get things done, be it housework, homework, chores or anything else then you will always feel like you are all over the place and somewhat lost - especially if you have started this things but not continued on with them. So how do I get more stuff done I hear you say.....Well, it starts with overcoming your obstacles. What obstacles are you putting in your own way, what barriers are you putting up or building to stop you from getting the stuff that needs doing, or perhaps that you want to do get done.
Once you know what obstacles and barriers you are putting up, you next have to work on why and how. Why am I stopping myself and putting reigns on, and how do I overcome these obstacles.
Here are a few reasons that might answer the why part - perhaps you have said these or though these, and these are what are helping build those obstacles and barriers that you are getting stuck on: Because I cant do it, because I don't want to do it, because I will fail, because its pointless - and these are just a few. Once you have worked out why you are putting up these barriers - and only you know why you are stopping yourself, you will you be able to overcome them.
When it comes to overcoming obstacles and any sort of challenge it all boils down to a number of things such as reassuring yourself, having and building up confidence, in both yourself as an individual and your capabilities. To overcome your obstacles, you need to break them down bit by bit, so they are more manageable and easier for you to handle and tackle. For example say you have a debt and this is your obstacle - ask yourself what's stopping you from getting rid of and eliminating this debt, when you think about it and I mean really think about it, you will realise that it is just you stopping yourself, you putting the brakes on before you have even got started. SO when you think about it you have no reason to be procrastinating or holding back do you?
The sooner that you realise that it is you who is creating these barriers and obstacles, then the sooner you can get on with doing what needs doing and get stuff done. So start being more positive and upbeat. Start looking for your qualities and talents as apposed to all of your flaws.
Good luck with getting more done, I wish you every success.
