Keep Your Vows to Save Your Marriage and Stop Your Divorce
There was a reason that you married your husband in the first place. Most likely it was love. You can rekindle that love if you learn to forgive and forget. Keep your promise of "until death do us part" and stop your divorce immediately.
Review Your Finances to Save Your Marriage and Stop Your Divorce
Once you have crunched the numbers, you will see that it will be difficult to afford two households after you are divorced. You and your husband will not be making any more money, but paying for two of everything from cable television, telephone service, mortgage or rent payments, etc. Financially it is definitely a better decision to stay married. Fighting over money triggers some divorces which just makes the financial problems bigger.
Stop Your Divorce to Protect Your Children
If you cannot do it for yourself, stop your divorce to protect your children. Children need two parents. Children are devastated by divorce and they sometimes never get over it. Even adults with divorced parents still suffer from the split up of their parents. Stop your divorce to protect your children. Keep your vows even if you do not want to at this moment. Someday you will be happy that you did.
Be Your Husband's Girlfriend to Save Your Marriage
Once you have mentally committed yourself to staying in your marriage even when it is tough, you may want to spice things up by reliving the past and becoming your husband's girlfriend again. Change your attitude toward your husband. Be loving, caring, understanding and tolerant. Think of the reasons that you married your husband in the first place and start again.
Start taking your commitment to your marriage seriously. No matter what has gone on, you can forgive and forget. Stop hurting each other and instead help each other heal. Take care of your spouse as if he was a prized pet that you cannot live without, because in the long run, you will not want to live without him, especially if you have children.
*Do not stay in a marriage where there is physical abuse to you or your children. Leave immediately, seek help to leave if you need it.
