How to Style Your Hair with Beach Waves

Joyce Hewitt
Your standing in line at your local supermarket ready to check out, when the girl on the cover of a magazine with the gorgeous wavy hairy catches your eye. Your probably wondering how you can get your hair to look like hers. Spring is here, and with spring comes spring break, bikinis and of course, the beach. Just because you're going to the beach doesn't mean your hair should be tied back in a bun. Check out some of the products I've tried to get sexy beach waves.

For tropical smelling beach waves try:
Luscious Curls Wave Spray by Fekkai
$20-$25

This product by Fekkai is worth splurging the extra money on if you want to smell amazing, and have amazing beachy waves. If you could only fit one styling product in your bag for spring break, this would be the one to take. If you want care-free hair, luscious curls wave spray will help you achieve sexy waves with hardly any work at all. This product has been very convient on days that I am in between washes. I can just squirt my hair a couple of times, and scrunch and I get great tousled looking hair. You can use Luscious Curls Wave Spray on wet or dry hair depending on how wavy you want your hair to look.

For beach waves on a budget try:
Tousle Me Softly by Herbal Essence
Under $5

If your on a budget you might not want to fork over the $20 to $30 dollars for a name brand product, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun wavy hair. A simple solution is to buy a spay on gel, like Herbal Essences "Tousle Me Softly". For under $5 this is the perfect way to create celebrity style waves.

For beach waves with a heart try:
David Babaii for WildAid Bohemian Beach Spray
$10-$12

David Babaii for WildAid Bohemian Beach Spray is a cruelty free, and chemical free spray for your hair that will create amazing beachy hair, and donate 10% of its profits to a global wildlife federation. You can purchase a bottle at your local whole foods, or online at drugstore.com for less then $10.

Even if you have straight hair you can create wavy hair by blow drying your hair first, and applying a mousse. Style with your fingers to create tousled looking hair.

The beach wave sounds cool. I like the one called wildaid Bohemian. I also like that they donate to a worthy cause.

Thanks for the info. Haven't tried the Fekkai one. Not fond of the scents of most, although David Babaii is more subtle. Will have to try that one.

Thank you, Joyce, for your Healthy Hair and Beauty product review for creating "beach waves" in longer hair. (I will recommend these to my friends.) Happy Easter, Michael K. Miller
