Believe it or not, you do have more control in the presidential election other than just going to the booth and making the final vote. In fact, The primaries have a much bigger role in narrowing down the potential presidency than the actual elections do.
You can have tons of election power in voting in the primaries, since the vast majority of people decide not to vote in these primaries. Your vote could be equivalent to the hundreds of people who don't even bother voting. imagine that kind of power!
Realize that in order to make the best decision, you're going to need to take a few precautions.
1. Research the candidates. You'll need to make an informed decision on the potential president and running leader of the party you're voting for. If you visit a candidates web page, you'll see more information about them, as well as a typical debate. This will make you much more prepared to vote in the primaries.
2. Support the candidate you have choosen! Go to the web page of the candidate you're most excited about and sign up. In no time, you should be getting event emails regarding the running campaign. In these emails, you may potentially even recieve offers to visit political rallies nearby, unlocking some awesome opportunities for you to support your favored candidate!
3. Register to vote and make sure you'll have the opportunity to vote for your candidate.
4. Look up the date in which your state will be voting and be prepared. Primaries are held in the winter, quite a while before the actual presidential election takes place.
5. Vote! You'll feel the power of voting for hundreds of people, since the majority of people don't bother to cast their vote.
And you're done! You've done your part in the presidential election, and you may possibly have a better choice when it comes to voting in the actual presidential election!
Please also note:
You will need to know exactly where you can vote in your area. Find out ahead of time. Remember that your vote is actually not determining the president, but potential running leaders of each party.
Each state votes differently in the primary. Visit your state's registration website to vote, remember, this is the most important vote of all!
