How to Switch PS3 HDMI to AV After You've Used an HDTV

There are many people who have a problem with their PS3 when it comes to HDMI and AV connections. There is one question that you may hear often from them. How do I switch PS3 HDMI to AV? It is easy to switch PS3 AV to HDMI because it is designed to automatically detect HDMI connections. However, AV connections are analog connections unlike the digital HDMI connections. This can be a major problem to people who constantly use different types of televisions or monitors for their PS3. You most definitely run into this situation if you try to use your PS3 on an AV interface (Yellow, White, Red cords) after having used your PS3 on a TV or monitor that use HDMI cords.

People who hand the old PS3 would simply cut the power with the switch in the back until the PS3 reset on it's on. However, the new PS3 consoles are built a little different. There is no hard power switch in the back. There is only the touch button on the front of the PS3.

The first step is to make sure that your PS3 is on standby. In a more understandable term, just make sure that your PS3 is turned off but plugged into the wall to the point that the PS3 power light is showing red and not any other color. To switch PS3 HDMI to AV you will have to hold the power button down until it beeps twice. You will have to make sure that your PS3 is off before you begin holding the button down or it may not work successfully. This will tell the PS3 to switch back to AV video. You will have to do this every time you switch to and from PS3 HDMI to AV. This also means that you will have to select the option that allows HDMI every time you try to go back to the HDMI interface. One you do it once you will problem remember by heart on how to fix the problem of not being able to switch PS3 HDMI to AV interface.
