Apple and Microsoft don't invoke the imagery of a nice partnership. When it comes to Microsoft Outlook and Apple's iPhone, you can integrate the two nicely with the ability to sync your iPhone contacts, calendars, mail accounts and notes between the software and the device by using your iTunes sync technology.
Why would you want to do that? You can maintain your Outlook calendar directly on your iPhone. You can add appointments on the go and sync it back when you get to your computer at a later date. You can add contacts on the go and sync it back to your computer. You can even associate a contact with an appointment on your Microsoft Outlook software.
Steps:
So, how do I start? You have to connect your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes on your personal computer. Use the iPhone connector cable that came with the cell phone.
Click on your iPhone in the left column under the "Devices" header. Click on the "Info" tab in the main iTunes screen.
Click the checkbox marked "Sync Contacts." Choose "Outlook" from the drop-down box.
Click the checkbox marked "Sync Calendars." Choose "Outlook" from the drop-down box.
Click the checkbox marked "Sync Mail Accounts." Choose "Outlook" from the drop-down box.
Click the checkbox marked "Sync notes with." Choose "Outlook" from the drop-down box.
Press the "Apply" button in the bottom right hand corner.
