Another, less appreciated device that makes this a wonderful player is it's Bluetooth feature. This allows Bluetooth enabled cellphones and smartphones to be paired with the device. Once this happens, you can put your cell phone in a pocket or purse and listen to your device without worrying about missing a call. If you do receive a call, the mp3 player will fade your music out and you will be able to answer the call from the mp3 player, speaking into it's microphone and listening to the audio through your headphones.
If you want to utilize this wonderful feature but you're not sure how, follow these directions to sync your devices together.
Items Needed:
Bluetooth-enabled Cell Phone
Samsung P2 player
Step 1: The first thing you need to do is update the firmware if you haven't done that yet. This will allow you to have the Bluetooth feature if you don't have it yet.
To update the firmware, connect your player to your computer using the USB cable that came with it. The Samsung Media Studio should open automatically if you have it installed. If you don't, install it with the software that came with the player, or download it from Samsung's official website.
In the Samsung Media Studio, select Menu at the top of the program, then choose Portable Device > Update Firmware. It will automatically find the newest firmware for your player and an on-screen prompt will appear. This wizard is easy to follow, just do what it says and the firmware will be updated.
Once it says that the firmware is finished, it will tell you that it is now safe to disconnect the device. Disconnect it and turn the device back on. The small circle light will flash green and blue - this means the firmware is installing, so don't shut it off.
The device will shut itself off when it is finished - turn it back on.
Step 2: Now that your device is updated, you will be able to use the Bluetooth feature. Now navigate to Bluetooth in the settings, and choose Discover Options > Discoverable. Make sure your cell phone is on and the Bluetooth is on. You device will discover it. At this point, simply pair them and you're set to go. Make a test call to make sure it works.
