As soon as you reach your location, you will find information on the type of military lodging facility and if it offers VQ, VAQ, TLF, or other types of accommodation. You will find photos of the military lodging facility, as well as the local and DSN phone number, e-mail address and a list of amenities that are available. You will also receive information on the local weather at your destination, which is handy for knowing what to pack for your trip.

Some of the Space A rooms at military lodging facilities are quite a distance from the closest national or international airport. Once you search the site of your destination, you will see information on airports and public transportation. In fact, some of the military lodging facilities offer a courtesy shuttle service from the airport to the lodging facility for guests who will be staying on a Space A basis. However, check on the transportation before you make your booking. Military personnel on official government orders are sometimes asked to pay for a shuttle service to the military lodging facility.
